Welcome to the vSEED Portal

by root last modified 04-02-10 23:16

This portal serves as the home for the ERANET-PG consortium of biologists, mathematicians, engineers and computer scientists interested in addressing the systems biology of seed dormancy, after-ripening and germination (vSEED).

Aims of vSEED:

The vSEED project aims to provide a dynamic mathematical description of seed dormancy, after-ripening and germination, using the related species Arabidopsis thaliana and Lepidium sativum. This will be achieved through identification of key transcriptome networks, cell wall components and biophysical attributes of specific seed compartments that regulate endosperm rupture and radicle emergence.
